Why I love Net School...

This week, one of our IGCSE English students has written our blog, to tell you why they love Net School...

Last year, my class (IGCSE English) and our teacher did a project. Each of us picked a picture, and then we all wrote three pieces of writing inspired by it over the period of five weeks. There was a great variety of pictures chosen – an old violin, a fairy tale setting and a painting of a family of penguins, to name just a few. After the first pieces of work had been submitted, our teacher surprised us – we were going to read them out to the class ourselves and our classmates would be our critics. At the end of the term, they would be made into a book (which is now ‘published’ in the Net School student Gallery). I was really nervous, because I wasn’t sure how good my piece was – but everyone was really nice! It was great to hear from everybody, and to get some good tips on how to improve my writing. Over the last few weeks of the term, we learnt a lot more about each other and became even closer. Just one of the reasons I love Net School <3
