Science At Home!

This week, Year 6 have been looking at light, shadows and transparency in science.  Isla from Mrs Barry’s class has shown that being educated online is no barrier to carrying out practical science experiments!  Have a look at her fantastic results:

By carrying out this experiment, we have worked out the following rules for shadows:

- When the light source is above the object, the shadow will be very short.
- When the light source is then lowered, the shadow will appear longer.
- When the light source is near the object, the shadow will be larger and fuzzier.
- When the light source is further away from the object, the shadow will be smaller and have a crisper outline.
